Most of the complaints here about Poser 5 are simply learning curve complaints. But as I'm getting to learn Poser 5, WHOA, this program rocks! The issues regarding crashes, slow performance are valid - but only because we are used to Poser 4's speed, versus the extra RAM needed for Poser 5. Hardware upgrades are needed as software advances. Now, some of these crashes may be bug related, which I'm certain CL will fix with a patch, as they work on documenting and correcting them accordingly. In any case, figure creation, morph creation, and the CLOTH ARE BRILLIANT! I haven't figured out hair yet, but Poser 5 has a new feature called "Wave" - it is a deformer of sorts, but it creates waves in your object! It is a great tool to add along Dynamic Cloth! The Morph Target Potential IS ASTOUNDING! God bless! Ben

Try the wind machine in Poser 5; it's neat.

I apologise, that last post was cheekie (but hard to resist). It does look like the P5 wave deformers will be better, especially with the opportunity to create linear patterns. Bill

And thank goodness they were ... I wouldn't have been able to make the American Flag waver in the background of the soldier hologram I did last year without 'em. They are very cool, but I haven't tried out the P5 version of them to see if they are any different.
