I've tried to create a menu with IR 7.0 and saved optimized (html+image). The image shows when I click on the browser button, but when I go to upload to my site, only the html loads. Hlp ???? Pleeeeease ?

check that the path in the code is the same as where you uploaded your images. By default IR creates a folder/directory titled "images". In your HTML code for the menu see that the path pointing to the images is correct. If the graphics are in the same directory as your HTML then they won't appear unless you change the code by removing the path to the image folder. Or make sure the graphics are in a folder called images.
slices are better than a single image map, sliced graphics load faster if size attributes are supplied in the code.

It's also safe to say that while the Photoshop/ImageReady combo is pretty much top-notch for image creation/editing...the web features are still a tad iffy...even in 7. Retrocity's post will fix the problem, but even I use a different program (GoLive's my favorite) for uploading to a site.

Oh yuck! ... sorry trick-art but GoLive? it's far from my favorite. It's almost as bad as FrontPage .. maybe worse. When you combine Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Image Ready you have a great combo. I don't find the web features a tad iffy at all but I know Image Ready inside and out. Throw in Macromedia Dreamweaver MX as your HTML editor and Flash MX as your hmmmm flashy stuff editor LOL and add Bradbury TopStyle Pro as your CSS editor you are pretty much set for a DHTML Website.

Well, therin lies my principle weakness...I never learned Dreamweaver. I have it, I just never learned it. GoLive's functionality, however gave me the familiarity that comes with Adobe Interfaces...hence my reasoning. As far as IR's html capabilities go, it does make wonderful graphics and I've never had a problem with the table tags it lays out, I just wouldn't use it to upload straight to the internet, mostly because i usuall include Flash stuff along with some relatively complex javascripting...which isn't altogether easy to incorporate using IR. But as I said, I just never learned Dreamweaver...and I should. If for no other reason than to find out what the buzz is all about...know anywhere with some decent tutorials?

You can take the HTML that Image Ready produces and edit it with Dreamweaver MX adding all your Flash and JS. The MX version is so much better than the Version 4 or UltraDev which had way too many floating windows.
I haven't looked for any tutorials online for Dreamweaver MX. I've had several versions of Dreamweaver and i'm a fan of the Visual Quickstart Guides and Visual QuickPro Guides from <www.peachpit.com>. My latest being "Macromedia Dreamweaver MX for Windows and Macintosh: Visual QuickStart Guide.
