I have a question for those who have P5 already: Did anyone try to clothify a conforming hair from P4 (like the LasVegas hair from Jim Burton)? In P4 I have the problem that conforming hair still pokes through the shoulders in some poses. Maybe this is not a problem with clothified hair and collision detection? Is windblown hair possible?

Rough (Very rough!) translation (My German is not so good. Hi, not heard anything yet? me either "snuff" I hope P5 comes soon or I won't have a fingernail left. Naja, When p5 is gotten, there may aready be the first service pack, yes? I hope not. (Remember, that translation could be totally wrong, but it is close I think) JDexter

thanks JDexter :) didn't really answer Mad's original question tho, can we clothify transmapped hair & use collision detection on it? I suppose we could clothify a ponytail & constrain the rest so it stays on the head then have the tail wave about in the wind, bet the guys at CL never even thought of doing that :) Rob

Hehe, well I can try the translation, as for clothifying, no way! =) I am still trying to figure out P5. I am working on the material room first and formost, then the hair studio, so it will be a long while before I can help with questions (if ever, I am not the sharpest when it comes to this program) JDexter

You can clothify anything. I have even done it on figure parts. Since old Poser hair is a prop yes! Wind blow hair is possible. I fiddled with the wind thing all this morning it is very cool. Ron

The idea of clothifying hair (not just ponytails) and combining it with a relatively low density of strand based hair has already been mentioned in this forum. If it could be successfully pulled off it would represent the best of both worlds. I suspect that there are probably a few merchants who are already experimenting with this. Bill

It figures, the one time I start a thread I don't get any ebots. :P
c1rcle posted Tue, 17 September 2002 at 2:56 PM
maybe we should try clothifying the ebot see if that helps ;)
