The upload is just the beginning. Since it seems (I say again - SEEMS) that I can now export ACAD-solids directly as .3ds files, I have decided to run with a little test prop. I'm making some reasonably accurate slightly futuristic ballistic hardshell armor for poor old Dork. It is based on armor I have built for kenjutsu - which in turn is based on medieval japanese and modern SWAT armors. We'll see whether PHI Builder and UVMapper do a better job with these than previous ACAD-->Poser attempts. If this works, this armor will be a freebie - it is just a sketch of what I intend to do for Vickie&Mike eta alia. I'll keep you all updated on this little project. Sounds like it'll be something to give the Dork something to do. That armor sounds a bit like the LandWarrior syatem being developed by the US Army :-)

they are a trifle behind my concept. they are stuck with Pentagon procurement nonsense and government contracts... whereas I could get away with off the shelf technologies that are less expensive and more effective (assuming I could afford 'em) On top of that, they have a bad case of Columbus Syndrome, whereas I am dumb enough to look at medieval designs that were the end-result of a thousand years of combat-tested development and steal what is already known to work.
