Most cr2s contain a figure number, like the example below, where the figure number is 1 and occurs preceeded by a colon after every refernence to a body part name. actor BODY:1 { } actor box1:1 { storageOffset 0 0 0 geomHandlerGeom 13 box1 } Recently, I've come accross some cr2s that don't have the figure number after BODY but do have it for other body parts, like this one- { version { number 4.2 } figureResFile :Runtime:Geometries:EA Media:Tongue.obj actor BODY { storageOffset 0 0 0 geomHandlerGeom 13 BODY } actor tongue_1:3 { storageOffset 0 0 0 geomHandlerGeom 13 tongue_1 } actor tongue_2:3 And even some cr2s that don't have figure numbers at all, like this one- { version { number 4.01 } figureResFile :Runtime:Geometries:dcCustom:dcSnakeTailMike.obj actor BODY { } actor hip { storageOffset 0 0 0 geomHandlerGeom 13 hip } actor abdomen These numberless cr2s are currently causing a bit of a problem for me. Does anybody know where they come from? Is there some version of Poser (mac, pro pack, P5 etc) that creates cr2s like this or are they perhaps the result of using some cr2 editor? Any clues appreciated.

I have never come across that. As far as I understand resaving the character to a pallet should restore numbers to the character.

Heya Les, Did you see the comp results yet? I found out on the Posertech e-mail list that at least some of them are figures made with PHI files but never loaded and saved back to the library. I'm curious about whether the setup room does the same thing. Saving the figure back to the library does fix it and at the moment, if somebody tries to load one of these in my program, they get a message to do just that. I'll try to work out a better way to handle it though.

heyas; the numberless figures come from... a: converting a phi or creating a figure from the p4 hier window (not sure on the latter, actually), which creates a new figure in the library, but not in the workspace. prior to this figure being loaded into the workspace, it has no number tags. once it is loaded and resaved, it is tagged. b: a user went through the cr2 with an editor and took out the number tags. i do this a lot, because they annoy me. ;)

Bloodsong, are you serious about b? If so I concur with les's suggestion.

Now can we reverse her normals?
KattMan posted Mon, 23 September 2002 at 9:31 AM
Just reverese the normals on her clothes. At least this way before she is rendered we can see right through them.
