Hello, all. Perhaps this issue has been raised in some prior post, if so, I apologize for bringing it up again, but I was wondering what the fate of the Poser 4 libraries/forums/marketplace will be here on Renderosity now that Poser 5 is out. I haven't upgraded to Poser 5 yet, although I will eventually do so, but I hope we won't see this wonderful resource go away simply because there's a new kid (well, several new "kids") on the Poser block. Sysops, any policy on this yet? For Poser 5 users: are Poser 4 models compatible or importable with the new product? Thanks for any and all info.

All Poser stuff is supposed to be compatible with Poser 5, just as it's always been compatible with each new version. I don't see Poser 4 products going away. Some people won't be upgrading and some stuff works just fine.

There are still items being released for Poser 3, in light of the giveaway of that version a few months back. I'm staying with 4 for the moment, as I imagine a few others are. I don't think you need to worry much.

I was wondering the same thing because I'm not upgrading to 5 either and may not ever unless the problems with it are ironed out. In the meantime, I'm sticking with P4. Melanie

The only things that approaches "incompatibility" are textures and transmaps. P4 settings require some tweaking in P5's materials room.

I wonder the same thing as well. I'm probably never going to buy P5 either.
