Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has heard from Neftis lately. I purchased her Printemps Hair and there are some problems with it. All the obj files are in the character library, and referenced there (as far as I can tell) in the cr2 files. I'm pretty much a Poser dummy, just a novice, so not sure what to do about this. I've emailed Neftis and not received a reply. So kind of at a loss at the moment.

Clint. I not only EMailed her, but IM'ed her MONTHS ago and never got a response. The printemps does not conform well at all, and when you parent it, parts of it fly off into space. I paid a lot for that model and rarely use it because its just too hard to deal with. I never got a response, so I will never buy another item of hers again. Djser, Usually when its a cr2, its because you can conform it to the model you are using. In this case, it simply doesn't work

Clint, I emailed her a couple weeks ago, and left an Im for her here as well. I first noticed the problem when I was going through character and hair files, making sure I didn't have duplicates, etc, in my library. As I understand it, obj files should be in the geometry folder in runtime, not in the libraries folders. If I look at the cr2 in Notepad, the file references are to libraries, not to geometries. I"m still a beginner, so am not really brave enough to do editing myself (too scared I'll really muck something up!). I do agree with Hisminky...I'm disappointed that Neftis has the time to put up new P5 stuff for sale, but not to respond to folks who have paid money for a product that seems to have problems. (sorry for size of pic. top part is Printemps folder in character library. Bottom is some results.)

Yes, this is exactly the same problem I have. AND on top of that, after aligning with dials, and parenting, it will not stay in place. Once you pose the model, the hair flies off again, and you have to reposition it again. This is a 20 dollar model, and it simply does not conform at all. Way more trouble than its worth, so I am terribly dissatisfied. I will never purchase from her again, since she has ignored me for months(I don;t care how good her stuff is)

I have several other of Neftis' hair products, and so far this is the only one I've ended up with such horrible problems with. She has 4 (I think) P5 hair products out already, so obviously is coming to the site to upload her products. I think both of us (at least) would appreciate it if you could contact her, Clint, and find out why she's not responding to questions from her customers. The conform problem may have something to do with the way the product installed, don't know. But I'm quite disappointed.

Yep, this hair does not conform, it has to be parented to the head. This is in the readme.txt, but it is not very well explained.

This should work:

  1. load Vicky in the default position,
  2. load the Printemps Hair (all 4 figures),
  3. move the hair_cap (ytrans -0.014, ztrans 0.006), your mileage may vary,
  4. parent the hair_cap to the head.

Now the hair moves with Vicky if you pose her.

BTW for a long time I forego to contact the vendors, I can solve most problems faster if I do it myself. ;P

I am thinking some problems may be with the location of the objs in the character library. If you look above, you can see the Printemps character library, with the objs in there. This is exactly how the Printemps product installs. BTW, Clint, Neftis did notify me, thank you much for contacting her.

She never contacted me. I was a good customer, too. I bought everything she sold until the printemps. I figure I spend well over 100 bucks on her stuff. No email, no IM.
