I'm trying to make an intelligent decision about what inexpensive 3D app to buy. I used to like Ray Dream so I downloaded the demo of Carrara 2.0. What a nice clean looking program! Does anyone have an opinion of its usefulness for character animation? Is the bones system just added on or does it really work right? Btw: I own an old version of Max and just can't afford the upgrades anymore, I own A:M and can't stand the crashing so any other suggestions would be a big help.
