Very pretty indeed... I've been playing with hair today, and found that it's a pretty smooth process once you get the hang of it. A question, if you would be so kind: Did you divide the head into areas and work on each section? And if so, how did you divide the head? (I divide mine into quadrants, but I was curious as to how you did yours up.) Also, do you use a skullcap or just a base texture underneath? Thx in advance, /P

Hi P, I use a skullcap, and I divide up into groups, I look at the style I want to create, and then I think, if I had to cut that, how would I do it and where would I start? So I make bangs, and then I section the top into front right, front left, then I do the bottom section and call it side, and wind it around from side burn to side burn. I grow the bangs first, so I can pull the hair over the top of the head and around the face, and then begin growing out the sections. When you make a lot of groups, it takes longer, but its much easier to find errant strands of hair, and pull them back in. Im not an expert at this by any means, But Im forging ahead and trying to develop technique and style. Syyd

some of the best Ideas for deviding the groups can come from hairstyling techniques in some of the womens Mags (It's bad enough that my girlfriend thinks I'm playing with virtual dolls, but she thought I was a total perve when she cought me checking out her First mag. really Hun I'm just looking at the hairstyling tips!)

But its true, I tried to dig out a book I had on hair styling. Then I was trying to devise a way to go to the salon and cop off a book of theirs, or ask to make copies! I hear ya!

With the makeup it kind of reminds me of Priss in Blade Runner. Quite cool.

Cool - I never thought of raiding the hair salon mags for ideas... I also discovered that a skullcap is quite necessary (after doing a full-on Firefly render it's not so bad, but doing a P4-style render makes most women look as if they're hair is thinning out :) ) Thx Syyd! /P

hahaha! I'm not the only guy in the women's mag section anymore! hahaha! Vanity Fair and Glamour have great hair ads and Vanity Fair has such well...great outfit ideas for clothes etc. SO who's the 1st to open up a Hair salon on the web? now if we just had the plugins for lightwave or max....we could then ...hehe share the hair with poser 4....oh the next 6 months is gunna be so fun!
Great hair and image btw as mentioned ...i thought of priss and souxie also...and i'm not even a brit :P

I never realized how many frustrated hair stylists exist among us LOL. Im hooked because Im not a good post renderer, I will never take the time to comb out hair, I dont have the patience or the talent. But for me, and what I like, the hair is it. You can't beat it.

I like, I like! Sorta reminds me of that Centauri hairdo on Babylon 5, in a way... just trim it up a little into a more perfect semi-circle, make the upper forehead a bit more bald, and err, I'll shaddap now :) /P
