A local hip weekly paper here had a client party in the old brewery building. Some of you may remember that the brewery is a favorite subject of mine (built 1890, abandoned since 1954). They had tons of candles along with several lights with colored gels, and it looked like I've never seen it. Of course I couldn't refuse an invitation, and I just happened to have my camera too. This wall was off from the main area, but still caught the light.

Stairs going up to forbidden (and dangerous) areas.

One of the many groups of candles.

A spooky girl in the soft, red gels. Not sure, but she may have been a ghost.

One of the brighter lit walls. The echo from the band that was playing gave an eerie sound from the outside. No color adjustment on any of these. Well, that's all!

Your first picture would serve as background for any number of creative ideas. Exposure under these conditions is tricky. Good job.

Thanks for all the feedback. I wasn't really expecting a photo opportunity, especially since I've been in there with camera before. It was the free beer and food that got my attention. But once I saw what a great job they did with the lighting, I was glad I had my camera out in the car.
