I like it for all those reasons. It adds some needed variaty to the Poser family.

Are you saying Zygote's come up with a Poser Dorkette?..........

Wow, the wrists do look a bit on the thin side.

You really don't want to hear what I think about her... Jack

I'm really not impressed with Millie, I don't plan to buy it, and Millie will probably be included in the next version of Poser anyway (if there is one.....)....Zygote didn't make the improvements I had hoped for and Millie doesn't seem to have the beautiful curves and face that P4 female has. Krel

To be honest, I like millie's face better than posette's. It has character right out of the box where posette is bland until you add morphs. And I like millie's more average woman looks. You can do more with it. Kate the Opinionated

Please give this model a chance? I believe we can use all the variety we can get in Poser and this is a bonus if you consider the possibilities!! Everyone is quick to complain without considering the whole picture! In a months time we may all look back and wonder how we could have possibly given this character any flames? Yes, we will need more morphs and yes we will probably need some clothes, but NO one has "taken away" all the other posettes and characters?? This is but one more option, and OPTIONS is something we can ALL use around here BIG TIME!! We cannot just go by what we view, we need to "see" the model as a whole and if you look upon her this way you to will find that she does have a LOT of attributes once all of this settles. We can't just sit back and mock this creation without even considering just what went into it and realizing some of the positive outcome of this. Are we going to start to tear apart everything new that comes our way that is not "perfect" to our standards?? I respect and admire the "work" that went into this model and I plan to work with it before I start casting my stones. ~3D ;-)

Personally, I like to read people's opinions on new models. These Zygote models are not cheap. If the model is not too good - then I want to know. I don't have unlimited cash. If the model shows up in Poser 5... then yes I'll be prepared to take it or leave it. While I have to pay a hefty price - getting on for how much I paid for Poser itself, I value peoples opinions on the model, rather than philosphical musings. Zyogote tell us how good their models are - they don't mention the down side. Criticism is valuable.

I have just seen things and looked at the pics that were out and plan on buying it on Monday but I like the character she has ...Perosnally I like that fact that the doesn't have all kinds of curves like the p4 woman though I am sure that there will be morphs all around to make her back to that. From what I have seen she has a lot more flexibility and dimension. Her mouth is too wide for my tastes and her wrists are too thn but I like her flaws. They add character that is sharply lacking in the p4. Later

Criticism is valuable, I agree! IF it is indeed warranted! Not something you will know in such a short time. Give it a chance, I am sure once folks actually work with her instead of analyzing her they will begin to see the attributes! ;-)

For the most part, I agree with 3DSprite even though I do not like the looks of Millie and have no plans at this point to buy her. I do not necessarily agree whole heartedly with his reason as to why we should ease up our criticism. Criticism is an important part of the creative process and is often what challenges us to do better. Now, just because someone poured out their heart and soul into the creation of an Art piece, do we with hold our Critique back if we truly think the work stinks? Often we do sit silent and let others make up their own minds. Yet, when we are asked - should we not reply truthfully? The problem with Millie, as I see it. Is not Millie. It is all the hype that lead up to the release. Millie is a product fueled by expectation and doused by the disappoint that comes when reality sets in. I remember when several friends and I first went to see Forest Gump in the wake of all the hype the movie generated. I left feeling disappointed. Not that it wasn't a good movie, or that it had been worth the price of the ticket. But after all the hype, creating such high expectations, I felt let down. I saw the movie again some time later, and thoroughly enjoyed it. So much so better than the first time because my mind was no longer biased by preconcieved notions of what the movie should be. I suspect that I shall eventually come to feel the same way about Millie. But for now, I just don't like the way she looks! Rob

It is better to have Millie, (with all her suggested flaws), than to have no Millie. I think we can at least agree to that don't you think? Whether she appeals to some and is hated by others we should be delighted that we have something new to work with. Considering all the throwbacks in the 3D departments of late, (ie Metacreations ditching Poser etc...), we should be thankful for places like Zygote that still continue to offer us such wonderful material, being perfect or not! And the fact that some intelligence other than just Zygote's went into this figure makes it all the more appealing to me ;-)

Regarding Zygote, although they make it very clear what they do I don't recall ever seeing them brag excessively about their models. They readily admit their work is not always perfect. In fact, they recently updated the models on their animals cd to include improvements they've learned to make as they continue to work with Poser. FWIW, Millie comes with a 30 day satisfaction guarantee. As for Zygote models not being cheap, it is really relative. I'm a non-US hobbyist so Millie (sorry, Victoria) costs me about $100 and I'm not made of money. But these models are of the same quality as studio marketed models that sell for $800 and more. By comparison, Zygote's Poser line is not just a great bargain- it's a positive steal! Oh yes- I'm quite content with Millie/Victoria though I'm waiting for the morphs just like everyone else!

3DSprite- Don't get me wrong, I consider Millie a good value for $60, and I'm glad Zygote went to the trouble of getting her finished, showing support for what some might think is a dead-duck program, and I'm also sure she will be fine once we get a ton of morphs to fix all the mistakes. On the other hand, I don't care how long somebody worked on her, there are some (fixable) basic things that should have been corrected- like the thin wrists and the fact that the legs are much too skinny where they attach to the hip. I'm almost tempted to weld her all back togeather and fix the mistakes and then cut her back apart again, like I do when I'm working on one of my clothing items- in fact, the only thing keeping me from doing that is the thought of all those finger joints!
