I was thinking, actually I was just curious, how long has each of you (as in everyone here in the Bryce forum) used Bryce for your artwork?

Corel bought Bryce. Eovia bought Carrara, Curious Labs bought Poser. Quite the mess. about two years ago +- a year.
Zhann posted Tue, 01 October 2002 at 4:59 AM
Oooohhh, I noticed not too much support coming from Corel...I do like Carrara though haven't done much in it, but I'm totally lost in Poser, I seem to twist off body parts alot...:)

Again poser is a program in which I'm behind in my updates. I have poser 4 no propack. in P4 you can set the limits of a body part manually. double click the dialsetting you want and a dialogue box comes up. It's a lot of work but can be worth it if you remember to check the use limits box in the figure menu. Generally I use the 'two arrows' key to translate with the mouse and if i go to far immediately click edit/undo before I do anything else. when I'm done fine adjust by typing in values within the dials.(again, you double click to access the dialogue.) . . . bikermouse looks up at the Forum Header. Hey, this is the Bryce Forum! oh well, "... and having written moves on . . .". - TJ

Zhann, Agent Smith will anounce it in a post. I think he must either be working on it now or getting some well deserved rest. It should be soon either way. BTW I think mad max has your answer on the other thread, It didn't seem completely clear to me, but It sounds like he knows what to do. If it's not clear to you, perhaps you could get him to elaborate. - TJ

We are using Bryce 5 for 10 months now and love to explore it. Learning every day. Being sculptors in stone it was a revelation for us and it still is. Willem and Madeleine

I've had Bryce for about 2 1/2 years, since the Great Collapsing Metacreational Frungdung allowed me to acquire some really nice software at a really good price. But I've only gotten serious about using it and the other 3D software I got in the last 6 months or so. I wish I had gotten into this when I was younger and able to pick things up a little quicker...

I started with a hand me down copy of Bryce 2 about 6 years ago. wasn't until I went out and bought 4 (still metacreations at that time) that I really started to play with it.

I've had access to Bryce 4 for two years, I just really started messing with it these past few months. I have it at work (mac) only, so I can only use it when my job has slack time. Probably just as well, otherwise I might stay up late doing 'just a little bit more'. :) Lin

I got Bryce 2 many years ago but I must admit that I hardly used it. Now I have Bryce 5 and use it about every day, I got B5 when it came out and I guess that thinking about how much it cost has made me work with it all the more.
AgentSmith posted Tue, 01 October 2002 at 11:00 PM
I've started out with MetaCreations Bryce 4, 2 years and 2 months ago. Poser was like 2 and a half years ago. Using Bryce 5 now a little (more and more). Challenge voting is coming, finishing it up tonight. AgentSmith

I started about 3 mos ago, so I'm still learning, just bought the biggest book I've ever seen, Real World Bryce. The guy at the bookstore store knows I do digital art and commented "A little light reading, huh..." I hope to learn wonderous things...:)

"Real World Bryce" is literally the Bryce Bible. No other book comes close to it. It is freaking big, huh? As I'm sure you now know...you will see clay's work in there.

I first saw Bryce 2 in 96, but didn't start using Bryce till well into '98! Used bryce for about a year and a half (Bryce 3D) and then gave it up, to take it up again from last year Nov, for the win Bryce 5 Contest. For those who are interested, I have my work (done from 98-99) posted at my old geocities site. Be warned though...haven't upgraded in eons!!!! :-PRayraz posted Fri, 04 October 2002 at 2:35 AM
I think I've been using it for 4 or 5 years now.
