Windows XP Home, 512 ram, 76 gig free HD, ATI Technologies RAGE 128 Video card I am attempting to open Poser 5. The last time I successfully used it was yesterday, with no problems. When I open it, it acts as if it is loading and then I get an XML error that says "Parse error not well formed at line 10". Unfortunately, it does not name a document. Has anyone else had this problem? Do I just need to reinstall?

I believe this is covered as a fix in Kupas post below. Also search for that as some seem to have been able to get around it. Ron

Doh! I didn't think to do a forum search for this error.

This caused by having a library open in one of your P5 directories that includes a non-text character such as an ampersand (&) in the name. If you delete the LibraryPrefs.xml PoserUIprefs.xml files in the Poser 5>Runtime>prefs directory, Poser 5 will restart fine. The patch on thursday fixes this bug.

Thanks guys, I found it. There was a directory name with an ampersand in the title. If I had done a forum search before posting this, I would have found the solution. Appreciate the help.

I had the exact same thing only with another line just today and figured it out on my own. I fixed it by just editing out the ampersand in library xml and edited the folder name and all was well.
