This looks excellent, Elor.

Really good stuff, now you need some snap-links as smart props, possibly some small padlocks. Also, it would be great if individual rings can be toggled on and off... most restraint sets dont have nearly that many, but the placement varies. You might also want to add a pair of thigh straps, wrist to thigh attachment is common and popular :)
Ironbear posted Wed, 02 October 2002 at 3:23 AM
gives Soulhuntre an impressed look Man, I love to watch an expert at work. I think I know more about restraint styles now than I did before. grin Hrmmm... if the individual rings were mapped as individual material groups, they could be toggled on/off via a mat file by making them invisible. Would that work?

Looks Fantastic!!!

Attached Link: http://www.the-estate.com Yeah, a MAT pose would work for this :) As for the rest of it, well, let's just say I don't do graphics >all< the time :) On a side note one of my ongoing projects is looking to use Poser as a way to illustrate some of the things we need for ... umm... educational demonstrations over at my other hobby site. Sadly, as a perfectionist I am having trouble with the joints in poser at extreme bends... sigh A difficult job to be sure :)
Ironbear posted Wed, 02 October 2002 at 9:01 AM
Yeah... only cure I'v found for the extreme bends is post, and I hate postwork, so I spend a lot of time designing poses that push the figures as far as they'll go without quite crossing that fine line and causing breakage. Oh well... There's a way around that, but it involves and uncut mesh and boning in another prog, and that's often too much like work. ;]

One of the things we have come to terms with here is that we need to develope a skin/muscled/boned character for our feature animation work... a mesh character is simply never really going to do what we ultimately need done.

Ummm... I truly hate to derail Elor's thread here. He's promoting his outfit, and doing a damned nice job at it. I'll just ask if you've taken a look at pmG's Messiah Studio yet... the demo and a lot of the user feedback I've been getting's been impresive. Heya - we can continue the conversation in IM if you want, I'm always open. ;]

I would like to add my vote for leashing and those thighstraps soulhunter mentioned, yum. I like the number of rings, shows up in the lighting better! I can always make some invisible if necessary. I can use Phil's Oola leash if you don't want to go there, but these deserve a little heavier equipment with the quality of tooled leather, and since Ajax opened up easy-pose. . . ??? Emily

Yeah! A leash ... that would be sweet :) Seriously, it looks REALLy good.

That snap is great! You got it perfectly. It's OK if it isn't a smart prop - I'm happy to pose it by hand if need be. Well done :) Now I am thinking I might model some quick links, and maybe some Carabiners.nikitacreed posted Thu, 03 October 2002 at 12:40 PM
COOL! I want! I want!
Lyrra posted Thu, 03 October 2002 at 7:33 PM
Some comments - The straps just don't have the feeling of 'weight' to them, some edges would give better the feeling of thick leather. Too late to remodel everything though :) And also, I've never seen gear with rings that big. I'd reduce the outside rings by 25-50%. Aside from that, very nicely done. You might want to consider an add-on 'chastity' strap for that belt. :) Could you include some carabiner style clips as well? I prefer those to snappy clips :) Oh I see soulhuntre is making carabiners. A person after my own taste :) Could ya make some nice wooden clothespins while you're at it? grin
ElorOnceDark posted Thu, 03 October 2002 at 7:51 PM
Hey Lyrra, thanks for your comments. I don't understand what you mean about the edges. All the leather parts have an edge. Granted, they probably could have been thicker, but I'm happy with the thickness. As far as the outer rings go, I think it's just a matter of taste. I've made some of my own gear an I've used rings that big. ;-) That strap is a good idea though. I'll keep that in mind.
ElorOnceDark posted Thu, 03 October 2002 at 7:52 PM
Oh Lyrra, I just thought of something too. The rings could be scaled down. They are all separate props. It'd be a little work though.

You might want to try Dendras.com, too. He's leaving the Poser world and all his products are half price 'til Nov 1 I think. His stuff is top quality.
