Hey everyone, i need motion for a mtv music clip we're doing here with a poser character as one of the actors. Anyone good resources ? Animations? what software would you recommend for rendering, animating? poser is hard to use but a rather good animation program, i think and i can't afford Maya or 3DSMax -Ede

I assume you want to composite the image. Poser is good for this. Making a Poser animation is no small task, especially if you need realistic motions. Some vendors have motion files ready-made, and some will do a custom job for your needs. Expect to spend money. DIY is do-able, but very time-consuming. Poser is good for figures, Bryce is good for terrains. And the links on the right have lots of resources and ideas.

I have some good dance BVH files at my page http://members.xoom.com/jercady/Poserstuff.html For about $30, you can buy Meta's Dance Studio & make hours of professional looking dance bvh files to import into Poser. Makes you look like a pro. The app is a bit unstable, but will be worth the bucks. The moves are very good. If you beg & bribe, I may be willing to customize something & send it your way. There are 6 styles, 60's, country, house, hip hop, disco & rock dancing styles. About 10 or 15 moves in each.

it's a teeny bopper dance video making program. It's a cartoonish 3D world. you can change dancers, clothes, & music can be from CD, MIDI or wav. Called "Dance Studio". You hit keyboard keys for certain moves that were motion captured from pro dancers. There is a music editing / creation program included. You can output the dance you make into a bvh mocap format, which can be imported into Poser. It is a bit unstable sometimes, but that depends alot on the 3D accelerator/video card you use, I believe. I don't know why it isn't more popular with the poser dudes.
