Ok, maybe i havent spent enough time reading the P5 manual, or maybe i just learned manuals dont tell you want you want to know anyway. But in Poser 5 how do you hide a piece of an object in the materials? For example, i downloaded the Football PAck from Daz3D and I want to disable the stripe on the side of the uniform pants, but cant seem to make it "in-visible" form object properties and cant seem to hide it by setting the properties dials. Someone have any ideas? I want to make a custom texture using the map, but there is not one for that darn stripe. Thanks!

Well you could make the color/mat settings the same as the pants. Or if you want invisible turn transparency and edge to 1.0 Tom

I thought about making the mat and color the same as the pants, but some NFL teams have custom stripes on their pants and i want to try and be as accurate as possible. I set the Transparency and Edge to 1 and although the color of the stripe goes away there is still a obvious shadow line of where the stripe used to be.

Thanks Depakotez,
I applied the texture from the pants with the stripe in place and it lined up. Thanks!

No Prob. Though to help get rid of the shadow you have to reduce the specular/highlight to 0 value with black color. Then trans falloff to 0 as well. :) Tom

If you want to hide an object, and if the group is sufficiently broken into parts, you can use the heirarchy editor to hide.

Yeah all this was if it was a material only. The easiest way is what Eric said. Tom
