So what's this Poser 5 "for PC only" stuff? Has Curious Labs decided that they don't need the Mac people? Bigger question is: is the "new version" worth the rather hefty price for an update, or just some cosmetic changes to make it look prettier?

hehe :) i just had to be a smarta$$ cos of your topic subject and the amount of posts about it in here. macs have to wait... sorry... lots of threads about it if you do a search. the new version is a serious application with all the new features. if you use poser for hobby still-picture renderings, ie just for fun, then you might not like it cos it's way more complex now (along with having lots more capabilities) ... have a browse through this forum on what new stuff people are doing and see if you want to do that. if so, buy it - it's pretty cheap, only $179. if not, pass it up. cheers :)

Oh yes, download the P5 manual at CL and take your time to do some reading. P5 update fee is money well spent for the serious artist. Maxx

Thanks for the responses. Obvioulsly, whether or not I want to, I'll have to wait for a Mac version. Not a bad idea, considering the number of "bugs" that people are talking about in P5. One thing I can't quite figure out - EULA. My guess is that the "LA" part is "legal agreement", but those have been around since the first software sale, so what's all the fuss about? Is there something new in this one?
