Running Poser 5 on Win XP, with Win 2000 simulation, as it crashed repeatedly on the registration process on Win XP. This works. However, I can't get the updater to install. CL tech support advised reinstalling the minimal version over the original full installation of P5.Did this and it still won't install. If one completely uninstalls P5 and does a fresh install will you then have to go through the registration process again? Would this solve the problem of the SR1 patch not installing?

If you saved your Response Code, you should only have to enter it again. And if you have to register again, you should have no problems at all. Anthony Hernandez Curious Labs

I am starting to wish my patch didn't install. It gives me more fault errors than I care to count. I didn't have that problem before. Anything I can do about that Anthony?

I had a horrible problem with SR1. It didn't install fully, and then I couldn't run Poser without it giving me a fatal exception error. Went to CL web site and downloaded an older version of a vxd file for Win ME. Works much better now, but I still can't install SR1.
