Need an opinion on which do you beleive is a better material to use of the above (i narrowed it down to these 4) or if you know where to get the material I'm looking for. Ignore the lake, foreground rocks and caves for now.

Basically I'm setting up a scene based on Anne McCaffery's "Dragonriders of Pern". The dragon's home is an extinct volcano with a sandy base. I'm going for realism as much as possible (both material and having the render look real/photo).

I love the terrain done in this gallery post (link) and would like to get close to that.
