Well this the first part of my submition for this challenge I will add a music stand, birds in the sky, maybe a tree.. and in the foreground an open window.. with some apples.. (the Autumn fruit in France).. Oh yes .. its a real 3D grass!.. don't believe?. I'm gonna post a screen shot of the bryce window if you wish. LOL ( grass was made with cararra and rendered in bryce.. the texture make it all! Enjoy! Warm regards. Pidjy

Brilliant work, my friend. You will definitely have to post a screenshot to reveal the secret to this magic. :o)

sweet... I likes. Maybe the hair's a bit too yellow and could be closer in shade to the foreground grasses. Or maybe it's just my monitor... :o)

YEEE!! A violin! I like violins (I play the violin and viola myself). Did you make the violin yourself?

Very cool! One thing I'd like to see is some background. It's hard to believe there is nothing beyond that grass ;)

Rayraz posted Thu, 10 October 2002 at 12:19 AM

If you could send the file that would be really nice. Thanx it's really generous. personaly I like the fact that there's nothing behind the grass. I think it sets just the right atmosphere for this image. (But hey, that's just me :)

Hard to believe there's nothing beyond the grass? Ever been to Illinois? (or any other flat as a pancake state) Lol... Pidjy, that was fast work! And, a Seriously nice one! Very nice... AgentSmith

v. lovely, cant wait for the final, my daughter plays violin shes gonna love this image. this reminds me of home, (Isle of Sheppey, Thames estuary, uk) its reclaimed marshland and flat as a pancake.

Experience is no substitute for blind faith.

Personaly The only thing I would change would be the hair color. I Love it. I think more would ruin the feeling of it, it is so scerene(sp) the way it is. Oh, and maby have that great gentle wind thats in her hair and the grass putting a little wave in the dress. Still, I am in Awe.

Pidjy - Excellent work. I, too, would love to see how you did the 3D grass. I do have one issue - as shown in the picture that I posted, this is what I saw at first glance. I showed it to one of my coworkers and he saw the same thing. I'm really not trying to come off as harshly critical. Maybe it's just my monitor. Maybe it's just my eyes. Everything else is wonderful - but she looks to me like a man with a big nose and a beard. I'm very sorry. CzIII

LOLOLOL CzIII what you show as the nose.. is some hair !.. there is a little wind so.. long hairs float evrywhere..

Now that you say that, I can see it, and I probably would have if I had stared at it long enough. It reminds me of the optical illusions that have two faces if you look at them correctly. But, sometimes, you just can't NOT see one face - your mind won't let it go (happens to me, anyway, I shouldn't be so general). Glad you took it in good humor. I really do like your work. Don't change it on my account.

No problems CZIII.. and thank you!.. I really apreciate that you have picked-up my image to show what was wrong.. Hope to here from you soon
