Welp I broke down and got Poser so here's my attempt at putting figures into a bryce scene. Nudity is cuz I dont know how to make a witch's costume in poser yet lol. Thanks for any and all comments. Blue

it's pretty awesome the way it is. witches don't necessarily have to wear costumes. you could do it in post with a bit of work if you really wanted to the water splashes and the whoosh are simply amazing. try to either blur or use the same process you did for them for the fire coming out of the broom (because i can see the default texture a mile away :) aside from that, the rock is absolutely incredible. the tree might not be so dodgy, but i think it fits with the scene as it is. great work, dude! drac

I love the skeleton pose, and hey...naked withces are good. The water wake is great! Nice start.

Good job with the figures and the broom swoop. As for a costume, getting a skirt to bend around a broom could be tricky, if not impossible, I'm always having weird reactions with cloth disappearing into items. One jolly thing about Poser is you can open up the textures in Photoshop or whatever and then make what you like. I made a leather jerkin for a woman out of a standard poser sweater. Lin

That is seriously cool. The whole setup is great, I like how the witch is portrayed as an earth elemental type isntead of the stereotypical hag. Great work on the fire overall. The only thing I would maybe tweak...is the skeleton. His bones are too clean, or at least too brightly lit in contrast with the rocks around him. I've applied some Bryce rock textures to skeletons in Bryce with good results.

I like the lighting on the skeleton, but a little fluctuation in the colors and a bumpmap might improve the look of it. I like the witch as it is. I don't think she needs clothes. The current texture works too well to hide under some clothes.

Blue, Belladonna(broom stick), Naked witches, ceremony of renewal. It all goes together. Nice sense of color and texture. The redish/orange "swoop of air" above the wake looks too solid - more transparency ? - TJ

I just love dirty Skeletons. Wait, that sounds kinda...well, you know what I mean...here's an example. Just gotta say again great work on the fire/water/swoosh thing, moon is a great subtle effect in the background, too. AgentSmith

Looks great. If you are nervous about the nudity, could try faking clothing with a volumetric texture.

Thanks everyone! but you're gonna have to help me out on the skeleton. I cant seem to even get close to your skeleton's texture AgentSmith (dang scary one too). The pict above is about as close as i could get. Tips? Drac's suggestion I had already been trying to work out. The swoosh is simple a booleaned torus. If I use it's texture in with the broom it makes it look like she's riding a rocket lol. I adjusted the transparency on the swoosh.. hopefully not too much. Thanks again! Blue
