According to this report Adobe has signed up with Metacreations to support metastream in all its products and it will aquire Canoma. No mention of them taking Carrara though.

Look to NAB in Las Vegas as the venue for their big announcements, I would guess. MetaWhatever wants to maximize the publicity value of their appearance there, making joint annoucements with other companies. I'm hoping Play, Inc (also at the show, the makers of Amorphium) will pick up some of the MC product line, but that's only wishful thinking, not insider info.

Just another rumor but I heard from a Meta employee that Zygote wa very interested in Poser. That would be a wonderful move there

My fav part of all this is I just bought Carrara (on sunday..its not even here yet) and I find out the company is going in the crapper...oh well as long as a new company picks it up I guess. Would suck if I just blew a wad of cash on a defunct product. Just my 2cents worth but it would be great if Adobe picked up Carrara. Adobe has its problems but it has great product intergration...It would be awesome to have photoshop and after effects intergrated in with carrara.
