This is fab! Just wish I had the extra $$ to purchase it right now. Heck, don't have money to buy anything this month, sigh!

Oh wow these are great, the textures are just amazing.

SAMS3D posted Fri, 11 October 2002 at 6:34 PM

What a great idea, Mike and I were going to do this, I am so glad you did it, it is amazing. Sharen

Questions: does this pack "Kromekat's Ultimate Woodland Textures Complete" include the above? And we can use these in Vued'Esprit correct, it imports object files. Also do you have a price for all your products in one package? I plan on getting this. Sharen

WOW, the textures are amazing, how much for this pack?

pendarian posted Fri, 11 October 2002 at 11:19 PM

Wow! - lots of feedback! :): {Questions: does this pack "Kromekat's Ultimate Woodland Textures Complete" include the above? Sharen! - no - that is just a textures package, as are ALL the OTHER Ultimate Woodland series - This is a standalone tree prop with a custom made texture. I just thought it was about time that the things I have been doing in Bryce etc. could be fully possible in Poser. {And we can use these in Vued'Esprit correct, it imports object files.} You can use this AND the other texture packs in Vue, Bryce, Cinema, Lightwave etc... The great thing is, this tree with it's custom map, looks great in Poser and the other apps, but also, because you have full conrol over textures and how they map (parametrically) in Bryce and Vue etc. You can apply the original Woodland Texture sets to the tree object shown here, and have a whole load more different looking trees!! {Also do you have a price for all your products in one package?} er... not as yet! - I have had a few people simply buying all the woodland textures in one go from the MP. When I have made some more props in this series, I will most likely do a CD, but that will be a while away yet!

{WOW, the textures are amazing, how much for this pack? } Thanks Dave!! - This will be in the MP for $24.95 {Would LOVE to see a Poser render :)} Apart from the first title image above, the others have been rendered in Poser - that's what it looks like!! - no postwork! thanks guys! - I'll post the product blurb if that makes it clearer...

kromekat's Ultimate Woodland Props:
'Ultimate Tree Trunk & Ivy'

(Multi-format package: both Poser ready and/or any 3D app that imports .obj)

© Adam Benton October 2002

*Have you...

...ever wished you could place a highly detailed, super real, photo-realistic 3D tree trunk in your
woodland renders before?

...ever found that the trees you have in some other apps, just don't cut it, especially in the
trunk department?

...ever wished that you could get right up close to it, and retain the detail?

...ever wished that, apart from photo-real bark, the tree had moss and algae around it's non symmetrical
& gnarly roots?

...ever wanted a tree that looked different from all 'sides', with differing features and details, and
a unique, custom made UV mapped texture??

...ever wished that the detail in the mesh was higher, adding that extra sense of reality, providing
holes in the bark, and ridges to make it's outline as rugged as a real tree's is?

...ever wished that on top of all of this, you could wrap the tree in a nice random looking Ivy, that
would cast shadows on the tree bark below?

...ever wished that you could use a tree like this in Poser as well as any other 3D app?

Yes? - me too!, that's why I created the 'Ultimate Tree Trunk & Ivy'...

All these points make this a very versatile package for anyone that requires character rich & realistic
trees in their renders, and with the custom texture alone, it can be several different looking trees when
rotated. But also add the fact that you can apply any other bark/moss textures to it, and you have literally
dozens of different trees!!

Some comments from the testers:

**Curio : "...This tree is brilliant!...looks wicked!!...Absolutely gobsmacking!..."

Linwhite : "The Poser folks are going to go bananas over this tree....it's the first really decent tree for Poser. This one looks so good close-up....it's outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!..."

Sacred Rose : "...The whole product is awesome!...this tree kicks ASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!..."**

Check out their galleries as well as mine for example renders!

Hey Sharen :) I can definitely attest to the product working in vue. I imported it as a pz3 and it didn't even hiccup. The quality of the product and the textures are superb!! Feel free to take a look in my gallery. You will see the trees in action in the latest two images. There was no postwork on either of the images other than the normal compression, signature and border.
