Anyone try out vecta3d yet? It can import 3ds and dxf models and render them to 2D Flash vector images. They just put out a $59.95 standalone version. I'm thinking of getting it and Poser-Millie this coming paycheck...

Truth has no value without backing by unfounded belief.

I think the stand alone looks very interesting indeed, let me know how it works guys ;-) Chris

Chris, It looks to work pretty well... I bought it last night and ran models through it for about an hour and a half. Being that I plan on rebuilding R.S.O.B. with flash soon... its going to come in real handy (...now which drive did I put that model of a brain on? :)>). -Rob

Vecta 3D is very nice! I've used it for about two weeks and it makes creating graphics for flash very easy, including animations. It is a good thing to get. High recomndation!

There is also a new program called Swift3d that does the same things and it does gradient shading. It's pretty interesting. I haven't used it but it looks to be a good product. -SanV

SanV, Swift3d does look to be pretty cool... but the price in comparson to Vecta3D may cause some to go the way of Vecta. Swift3D sells at $139.00, Vecta3D sells at $58.95 -Rob

I have done a basic spinning model of a baby from poser which i made into a 3ds model. I really want to use this as the basis of my animation, but i am curious to see how others have used it. by the way Vecta 3d can handle more polygons thatn swift 3d. And it IS much cheaper, and has a gradient shader, which i havent been able to figure out. thanks
