Hi all, I would appreciate any advice, critiques, feedback, free lessons, tutorials....... ;o) on this piece. (or just poser in general!) It is my entry into the Halloween contest (already entered) but it is also only my 2nd poser piece. It is the first one I did the posing for myself. Boy was that ever harder then I thought it was going to be! Took me all day! I hope that gets faster with use of the program! I hope to learn a lot from all the fantastic artists here at Renderosity! Thanks in advance for any and all help, or even just for taking the time to read this and go look!!! DeannaRawArt posted Thu, 17 October 2002 at 8:21 AM
Very Nice I love the rain effect. I just recently had to add rain (to my halloween entry), and found out how difficult it can be. You have done a great job. Rawnrr

Thank you! I thought the rain was one of the easy parts. Especially after doing the pose! To do this rain I just used noise and a blur technique in photoshop. How did you do your rain? It was your entry that I saw the rain splatters, and realised what I needed to make my forground come to life! I do wish I would have blured them a bit more and made them a bit more transparent, but that's the wonderful thing about working in digital, I still can! After adding the splaters I thought my figure still didn't look like it was IN the rain, so I tried to add some rain running down her. Not sure I pulled it off very well though.

Motion blur Ya know, I worked on that rain first thing in the morning and forgot entirely about the motion blurr. I did mine in several layers, scaling down the size and opacity as they progressed futher to the back. Glad I was able to inspire in some way :) Thank you for waking me up to other rain techniques :) Rawnrr
