Very nice work... although a more subdued lighting would make it even prettier. Imagine these two shiny 'bots, enjoying a moment of tenderness in a dark, dingy hallway... ;-D

Not sexy. Idea is provocative, but the poses and the lighting fail to carry it off. (A claw reaching towards a nipple isn't necessarily a turn-on for those of us who posses tender ones, which is also a draw-back.) My suggestions? Lower the ambiant lighting but add more dim light sources. Those baskety things on the walls are supposed to be lights, aren't they? white or blue-white. Change the texture on that tube thing on the right, floor level. Have it carry glowy liquid. Maybe add more plumbing down here. Plumbing is suggestive. It looks rather empty anyway. Texture on walls, and grating on floor to drain. Now, what is their business on this level? What are they interrupting? Delivery? Maintenance? Is he guarding a door and she trying to get by him? Or is he fixing a panel and she suggesting that he twiddle her dials? Give us a story, or have it in your own mind. Pose: only 1 foot of the 4 is flat on the ground, and I have no idea where her right arm is. The head of the Droid model juts forward, and is probably in her neck. This just doesn't feel sensual and relaxed to me. You might want to look at your pose from all 6 directions! Carolly

Are you sure Robot Girl came from DAZ? I can't find her over there...:>(

She came from Renderosity store, I have her as well as the Droid which did come from Daz. MarqueEvoShandor posted Fri, 18 October 2002 at 8:00 AM
everything Carolly said Lighting can make or break your image. Try and play with your spots to make it appear that light is actually coming from the fixtures on the wall. Also, the image appears too plain to me for some reason, even taking into account the bad lighting. Try adding some more stuff in there. Even if its just tweaking the textures of the walls. It just is too stark to seem realistic to me. Also, I'd tone down the "sexuality" a bit and try to make it a little more "romantic". These are just my opinions of course, and don't necessarily reflect the views of the artistic community as a whole. Evo

Very nice start of a hot-oiled passionate data-exchange! :) I agree with others about the lighting. Less is better and add some warm tone to the lighting (amber/orange/red), which is indicative of "sensual" or "sexual". Also more indicative of a secluded rendevous in a remote section of the ship/base/whatever ;). Kuroyume

It's a start. Definitly more drama in the light will help immensely. Try different POVs, rather than the standard straight front shot. Take a stroll thru the romance section of yer bookstore for ideas. Those guys are pros at making it hot without making it porn. BTW I don't think the TOS sez anything about robots, might be a way to get around the censors if one were so inclined. LOL! IMHO Jon

What they said. But I think you've got the start of a nice image and a fun concept. The only thing I'd add is in response to: "But I'd like to think we're all adults here." We're not. Some of us are in their early teens. I know of at least one 14 year old here. As I recall, there's something in the TOS or sign-up process about requiring those younger than 13 to have permission from a parent or guardian before signing up. Maybe this will help people understand some of the "censorship" that happens here. It's supposed to be a "family" friendly place.

That was not intended to be a slam on posting your image here. I think it's fine. Keep up the Great Work.

Thanks for all this great feedback. I'm playing with the lighting to see what other kinds of effects I can come up with. I tried to get more shadows on the ground, but no matter how I rotated those lights, they wouldn't show. I'll keep playing with it. If I get it worked out I'll repost. Oh, and Robot Girl DID come from DAZ, but it was back when they were Zygote. I guess they're not selling it anymore. Thanks, everyone!

What if the droid is absolutely straight (phallus-like even in his posture), and she is writhing around him (leaning back into him)? One of her hands could be guiding his to the nipple which requires tweaking. Hmmm? Done this way, you could have her face turned up towards his. You might also consider short arcs from hand to hand or claw to nipple once you get body parts aligned. The first thing though is to make sure that these steel and plastic critters aren't going to fall over. They have mass, so they have to have balance. Carolly
