With all of the talk about the new way Zygote spliced up Millie. I recently took a look at the Ev1 figure made by Torino a few days ago. I pointed out that I did not like the way the collars posed (And I still don't). And in the process I think I offended him. :-( However. I noticed something that he did that nobody seems to acknowledge or apprieciate. He split up the legs into one more group than normal. The revolutionary part is that if you set up the JP's for that new lower part as if it was the upper part (thigh). The upper part bends much nicer without having to go through the process of messing aroung with spherical JP's. Anyone who has tried to set up JP's knows that where the thighs meet the hips is one of the hardest and time consuming things to set up correctly. But with this "remote JP's" technique. They are much easier to set up. I've used this technique on other parts of the body of various types of bi-peds and animals. And I like the results so far. By setting the upper parts to 0 movement and forcing limits on in the .CR2 file. Others will not be able to move the wrong part by mistake and use the remote body part to animate or pose the figure correctly. I just wanted to say thanks for showing me something new. And I'm wondering why all the character creaters here have never talked about this or used it? I wish I had looked at this sooner. Have you messed around with this Bloodsong? It's pretty neat. And probably has some more uses I haven't discovered yet. ScottA
