You can actually use the collision detection in the cloth room as a dynamic engine for props other than cloth? here I modeled 2 bunch of roses petals...each containing about 15 petals that I save in 1 prop file. Then in the cloth room I made a simulation minimising the cloth density and increasing the air damping... It was a test ,but I was surprised to see that we can actually use the cloth room as a dynamic collision engine...Not very elaborate though...but still, it can be usefull for some anims...like snowflakes or stuff like that. really, it's only to play to find new ways to have fun!LOL

the animation nice ,and i agree there things like snowflakes can be done too. And if you add a windforce from on side and set the density to zero you can let the fly from one side to another. now we only need something to create always new snowflakes:-)

Maybe set up a "moebius strip" of wind forces off-camera, blowing them up, then back over, then letting them fall back into the path of the original wind force?

Remember, kids! Napalm is Nature's Toothpaste!

All you need now is a nude Mena Suvari figure and you've got yourself "American Beauty" :)

It could be used as a particle engine
