Maple should be red in autumn, shouldn't it? Sycamore also has similar leaves. There's a zillion trees that have such palm-like leaves, and I have no idea what a great majority of them is called. BTW, it would be much easier for you to zip them up, because you wouldn't need to download them again in mail. Madmax, thanks. I didn't think of creating a transparency or bump map.

This is a Sugar Maple, they are known for the saturated golden yellow, if there's enough moisture that year and the sugar content of the sap is high they turn brillant red, sometimes yellow with red upper leaves. FYI there's 17 different varieties of maple...=>

Worked as a botanist's research assistant for 3yrs, and in a tree nursey for two, my boss made me memorize the different varieties of trees and shrubs, it's info for some reason that stuck with me...:)

Little Johnny is sitting in class. Teacher says "Okay, class, use the word 'horticulture' in a sentence." Little Johnny stands up and says, "You can lead a horticulture, but you can't make her think." Sorry... couldn't resist. :o) We now return you to your regularly scheduled forum...
