The update fixes more than 120 bugs, and some looked serious. Not that I actually have cs2, I only have mc c1.0, probably the last copy ever sold. With the length of time c2 has been out with this many problems could it be we are just winging about Poser 5?

Isn't it obvious! Carrara has a very similar interface to Poser. That's why it has so many bugs. ;-)

True, so where are the SR1s and the ... How many bugs in P5?

Carrara can't seem to shake off it's history of BS and lies, either. Remember the original release?

I have both the MetaCreations Carrara (bought before they dumped it), and the Eovia Carrara 1.1 and I can't tell a difference between the two. I patched the MC version after Eovia picked it up and it gave it a version number of 1.1. When I bought the upgrade to "Carrara Studio" from Eovia, it still had the same version number (1.1). I was sorely disappointed that nothing had changed and I would have saved money by not purchasing the "Studio" upgrade. This is why I didn't upgrade to 2.0. I should have gotten 2.0 for nothing but I bought "Studio" 1.1 back when Eovia opened its doors for business. I still prefer Ray Dream Studio 5.5 even though it crashes a lot. The interface is more usable and has more textures. 1.1 had nothing to offer.

Poser 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Pro 2014, 11, 11 Pro

I almost bought into it because they bundled a bunch of plug-ins and Amapi 5X with it. I almost bought it, but then I realized that I just needed the patch. I really felt cheated by Metacretions with the initial realize of Carrara. It sucked. It had all these incredible features that just didn't work. The patch that we got from Eovia kind of alleviated the worst ones. Then I got Carrara 2 just to realize that it didn't work good with my current system (Mac OS X 10.1.5). At least it still work good on system 9.2.2. I still couldn't take real advantage of my new dual processor Mac since It was running on system 10.2 with the next patch. I had to weight till this patch to really get what I should have gotten a long time ago. I have been patient with Eovia because I know that they are not a huge software company like Adobe or Macromedia. It looks like they are finally there with this patch. I haven't tested it toughly but what I have used works good so far. I think that my patients has been finally rewarded. It looks like Carrara 2.1 Rocks.

WWWWVVVVRRRROOOOOM!!!!!! ... And were now in the Cararra forum. Never mind, the admins know best, I was actually wanting to see how all the wobblies with P5 compare with the fixes for more than 120 bugs in C2s SR1.

I am pretty sure P5 has at least as many bugs as CS2 had. At least as many. P5 is on it's third service patch already (SR2beta2) and that one's a beta. Speaking personally, I've never had any problems with either program, even unpatched. Must have a magic system.

Initially, I found that Carrara 1 and 1.1 had difficulties, though the Eovia 1.1 patch did solve some issues. Now at version 2, however, I find Carrara to be a solid performer on my system. I am running Win2000 SP3 on a dual P3 processor board, with 512 of RAM. I would say that in my case, the upgrade was worth the money I spent.

Carrara 2 is a solid performer for me also. Sounds like sour grapes. Its good value for money. I do not regret spending the money for it. Its not a high end 3d app, but its got features of many of them. Comparing it to Poser just because of the Metacreations interface... geez folks, why not bash Bryce too while you're at it?
