I like this Michelle a nice soft bright feel to it just like a summers day. I think I might not have cropped the petals off on the edges, to me it looks like a part of a larger arrangement. :O)

Thanks guys...acutally this is straight scan Jeff & Brian, using the transparency adapter to get the see thru effect...no cropping, but I can see what you mean about the composition. Running it thru photoshop I played around with blending layers a bit to give it the glowie effect.

that looks nice and soft - gentle is perhaps the best word. it also looks sad/wistful, but then that could be a function of the music im listening to. not a great fan of the ebossed edges, however. if you have to edge it at all, how about a bleed to white? is the text a font? if so which? it looks really nice. as for the composition - i think it looks good as it is - it makes it look natural to have the petals randomly scattered.

Lovely image - scanners are great arent they?! Really nice colours, and I think the font works well with the rest of the image :) I agree with Six - the bevel might not look as good as a bleed! =) xXxXx

Lovely scan Michelle, I love the delicacy & randomness, I like the composition & I think you did ok with the text too..... I find the bevel distracting, the hard edge seems to work against the composition, the idea of a bleed sounds worth a try.
