Not sure if this should go in the Bryce or Poser forum so I'll post it in both and hope for the best. I used the stone creation tool in bryce5 to create a typical stone. I then used the export item command and saved the stone as a wavefront object, (also tried 3ds). Brought the stone into Poser 4 just fine, however when I try to apply a texture to it I get nothing. I can change the color of the stone in the materials editor but I cant apply a texture to it. Any ideas? Thanks for any help.

Hm. Strange. Maybe because it's not UV mapped? Yep, that's it. Export stone as an obj, download UVMapper from uvmapper.com, run you stone through it, apply spherical or whatever map on it, import into Poser and it'll go.

You know how you feel when your looking for your sunglasses and they are on your head? Thats how I feel now. Thanks for the tip, worked like a charm.

I just tried it with B5/P5. Texture doesn't export, so you have to texture in P5. Might be able to render your favorite texture on a plain or 2d face and use the .bmp in the library of P5. I got some reversed normals on the first try. That was odd.

I think if you keep it in the same folder as the original .mtl all will be OK. I'd actually forgotten you could export stones. The edit object / CTRL D is not something that I found totally intuitive!

Actually, I lied. Hmmm...
