I have a question about mike 2. It's the covering over the eyebrows - why is it there and how do I get rid of it? I have tried endlessly playing around with the transparency settings but it still lingers. The best I can do still leaves small amounts of speculkar highlights on his eyebrows...I mean - why does he even require highlights on a matt texture anyway? I don't get it. Why can't I simply use the texture map for the eyebrows? The problem is driving me a little crazy.

Below is a quote from the poser forum FAQ, which is linked at the top of this page. The only thing I would add is that to get rid of the highlights you need to set the colour of both the Upper Eyebrow material and it's highlight to black and set the highlight size to zero. From Poser Forum FAQ: Q: What's up with the eyebrows on the Millenium figures. How do they work? A: The eyebrow area for these figures uses the layering technique. And is made up of two separate items: 1.) The head has a material applied to it in the eyebrow area called "Eyebrows". 2.) There is a separate piece of geometry positioned on the head, covering that material, and has it's own material called "Upper Eyebrows" The reason they did this was that the Upper Eyebrows could be used to add a second layer of texturing to this area. Resulting in a more realistic looking eyebrow when rendered. If you've worked in paint programs. You know that layering is how people achieve best results. This is the same thing. If you want to just use the normal eyebrows like the standard Poser figures use. Just hide the Upper Eyebrows by setting the material for it to: Upper Eyebrows: 100% transparency Max and Min * Note: It might be easier to think of the "Upper Eyebrows" as Outer Eyebrows. DAZ made a poor choice in naming them. Causing much confusion about how they work.

There's a "hide eyebrows" or "brows off' morph also, I believe. At least on Vicki 2 and Stephanie, and I would presume on Michael 2 also. Not sure of the precise name, but it's on the list of head morphs... If you set that to 1.000, it should turn the uppper eyebrows completely off. When leaving them on, in addition to the trans settings that Ajax mentioned, setting the highlight and reflection colors to absolutely black in addition will help remove those specular highlights.
