This is different Joe what amount of magnification is going on here? I cant quite make it out but is that a very cold ladybird? I love the bug lurking under the leaf. :O)

Great shot and congrats to the new machine! Good lighting and framing, but to be honest I don't know what it is either? cheers Thomas

Yeah what we call a Lady Bird in the UK or Lady Bug to you colonials lol (Sorry) in the morning frost. I have never been able to get one of these sharp or the correct colour! I wonder if it has something to do with my Digital camera which I intend to upgrade a Fuji4700 FinePix zoom this seems to have a problem with reds has anyone else found this? The little green bugs are they aphids / greenfly the staple diet of the lady bug? Anyway nice photo.

Ha ha yeah we managed to do that ok and all over a cup of tea eh! BTW meant to compliment LHR! on the DOF how did you manage that cant see any sighn of flash! and the lighting did not look that great just a bit of side lighting was enough?
