This FREE program makes great plants that can be exported in a variety of formats! This plant to less than a minute! best yet they are pretty low in the poly count.

oops, the program you're looking for is plant studio

But don't forget to write down the given Serialnumber. That was former a sharewareproduct. Thomas

yes another thing I forgot to mention, this was once shareware that the creators decided to change to freeware.

Yeah, but isn't this kinda awkward to export and use in Poser? I thought I saw a couple of threads where the polygons got all whacked when trying to use Poser to render. Anyone find a solution for that?

lol, yeah I know about that one, yet another program that I paid for to support the creators and then they kick it out for free. Marque

Same thing happened with me and ThinkDB for Palm. Bought not one but two licenses for $50 total, then it went free and to add insult to injury the author started a freestuff download zone that he wanted to charge rent for hosting.

The plants work ok in poser, the big problem is the lack of UV mapping. also the coloring is a little out of wack, you need to make the ambient color the base color.

they work pretty well after being run through UVmapper. I'm planning on making a batch of them once I finish off the 3 projects currently on my 'desk'

According to the program this "free" software lets you export 20 plants before it stops letting you do that. Is this a mistake?

shadowcat posted Tue, 29 October 2002 at 1:58 AM

you need to register the serial number in the program - quote from website: "The new free registration code for PlantStudio is as follows: Registration Name: PlantStudio is now free Registration Code: 574 127 4255 "
