I think Dave-So is trying to figure out a way to stuff the ballet box. (Just kidding...er, well...)

The whole web site has changed again..no mention of the contest, that I could find.... By the way, I managed to get over 500,000 entries submitted....do you suppose that's enough ?

Dave, Per Murphy's Law, you sent in one too few.

For Sharen and Serpentis... There was a survey at CL and your (single) entry made you available for a draw to win a power PC. End of contest was the 28th. Good luck everyone. I'm off for a few days, then I have to re-install my HDs and the OS etc... Happy Halloween, happy birthday Cooper and see ya all... Take care, Q

Ah. A Scorpio. That explains it.

Dave-so, I only entered once. On MY birthday. If it is the winning form, that is enough. I hope so. My best PC is a 733 frankenbox which ought to be able to run P5, but I'd want to take it apart again first. A new PC, with all the parts designed to work together, would be wonderful. :sigh: Poser 5 would be great, too. I want to play! Carolly
Dave-So posted Fri, 01 November 2002 at 7:33 AM
just to be sure that no one thinks I cheated to win that PC, I actually only submitted once.... :) Carolly....I though I had a lock on free Stones tickets , and a trip to LA, put on by a local radio station...they play group songs..every time you hear one, you record the date, time, and name of the song and submit it as an entry. Well, I'm on the road quite a bit, and everytime I turned the radio on, there would be a song....it was like fate was happening. ....anyway, sorry to bum you out, but someone else won :)

Dave-So, Computers can do stupid repetitive tasks very quickly. A half million entries was straining the belief ;^) a little bit... not much though... just a little bit. So, we aren't going to LA? Dratskies! :( Carolly (just kidding)

Well, today's supposedly the day the winner will be announced. I hope CL publicly states the winner, yes, even if it's not me. Why? That way, I 'll know whether to bother purchasing a new system or not. I had considering buying a new machine several weeks ago, but I put those plans on hold when I read about this contest. I don't want to wait indefinitely only to find out Curious Labs informed the winner via private e-mail only. Sincerely, Bill
