I'm just days away from getting my new G4 and was wondering where the best place was to buy Poser 4 from. I see alot of places have the combo Poser 4 and Pro Pack but I don't know if I necessarily need Pro Pack right now. I'm just a newbie and would like to get some inexpensive software first and if I like it I can upgrade to Poser 5 for MAC when it comes out. Thanks for your time. ralfielee

Amazon.com normally carries P4 separately, but they appear to be out of stock, as do other online stores I've checked. I have a feeling it'll be difficult to track down.
I'd recommend getting the Poser/Pro Pack bundle, anyway, if you can afford it, as you'd be able to learn some of P5's features (2D motion blur, multi-pane windows, the Setup Room, Flash export, etc.) while saving up and waiting for the Mac version of P5. Also, the best upgrade deal comes for Pro Pack owners. And you'd have the much-coveted hosting plugins, which P5 currently lacks.

Don't think anyone is selling just Poser 4 anymore, although you can find it sometimes at auction sites like ebay. It was dual platform so even if it says PC it still has the Mac version. If you just want to try Poser, might want to look for CD magazines that offer Poser 3 free. Poser 4 is more advanced but the basics are still the same. There's also sites that still offer Poser 3 stuff. HTH- Dan
