Working on this character for Stone. Used the Adventurerssuit first but when I got Platinum and the SciFi suit I saw new possibilaties ;)

Working on getting the Chainmail looking OK right now, should I make the links smaller?they look a tad big to me.

Looking at my average ring size maille dice bag (because my chainmail bikini is in the closet awaiting repairs ^_~), the rings are should probably be about 2/3 to 1/2 that size. If you can change them easily, it wouldn't hurt, but if you'll have to spend forever messing with seam lines, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Wire had to be hand forged when maille was made, so sizes varied quite a bit.

Chainmail looks pretty good as it is. Is it a repeating texture w/ transmap? In case you're interested, there's a free repeating tile program called "s'Tile99" that makes chainmail looking textures pretty easy to do. Once you've made the basic 'pipes' tile, (upper left pic.) you can colorize, mirror, warp, bend, fold, spindle and mutilate into alot of other tiles. (other 5 pics.) I just checked the web site for it, and it's disappeared. If you want a Zip of the program, let me know. It's about 2 Megs.

I came across this link for sTile/Harm'sTile. Haven't checked it out yet but it looks like the download works. Your texture looks great, btw, Axe :)

One small suggestion for greater realism, traditional European mail would be 90 degrees to your texture. That way it "hangs" one row of rings on the row above. Don't know if that will make any diff. bdmfencer7
