Just a technical question on how you do this sort of thing. Do you export the mike head as an obj, edit it in some modeller without changes vertex count, export as an obj and then import that as a morph? Is that the way this sort of thing is created or am I totally off base. I want to learn how to do this type of thing. Regards, brent

That's how I do it. I like ZBrush, but I think you can use just about any 3D modeling program. I like ZBrush because there is a lot of support for learning how to make morphs. You can also texture in it now. Marque

That looks great. the texture adds a lot. Greybro: I've used Truespace to do a bit of morphing. Pretty much any 3d program that has deforming tools, and/or lets you manipulate vertices will work for morphs. (It has to be able to handle .obj files tho.) If you are very patient and learn magnets you can do a lot inside poser too.

When you export the part you want to morph, say the head, to you export just the head, or the whole figure? Regards, Brent

You export just the head. No eyes if you do it with the eyes they wont be placed right. When you create the morph. No neck either Here you go the link shows you how to export. Do you have zbrush? You can download a trial. My advice is play with the z intensifier and draws size.pdxjims posted Sat, 09 November 2002 at 12:30 AM
Great morphs! I'll buy the package when it comes out (if I have the ready $). Thanks for the info on zbrush. I'm going to try the free trial. It may be going on my Christmas wish list.
