Subject: Amended Poser 5 EULA

Attached Link: Updated Poser 5 EULA

We have posted an amended version of the Poser 5 EULA. The modifications address concerns and issues raised in various online forums. A basic FAQ about the changes can be found at the link in this post. The amended EULA is posted in its entirety, plus there are instructions on how to download a PDF version.

Id like to thank the third parties that contributed comments and suggestions. Weve had requests from several of the participants that they would like to remain anonymous. If you participated and want to be acknowledged publicly, please let us know.

The lions share of thanks should be focused on Larry Weinberg. He was able to cut through the agendas, rhetoric and emotions behind this issue in ways that I was not, to forge an amicable, mutually beneficial solution.

A link to the new EULA and FAQ is http://www.curiouslabs.com/go/p5eula

I hope that with these changes, the segment of the community that has expressed concerns with the current Poser 5 EULA can move forward. Poser 5 is a great product and we want to see any barriers to using it removed.

Sincerely,

Steve Cooper

Let it not be said that "they don't care." Obviously, they do.

Not bad. Nice job to everyone involved.

"More than one person at a time cannot read the same copy of a book" Why not? Is this a side effect of the american "I can't read subtitles and watch the movie at the same time" syndrome?

Thanks for the update BM. I can hardly wait to see if it's as good as the mini-series was. I just uploaded a new Dino render myself. I wish I had the time to make Dinotopia armour for my dinos. ScottA

The one thing that is missing, I think, is a clause explicitly terminating the previous version. As far as I can read this document, if you accept it, you have effectively accepted both versions.

I have not read it in detail but I believe you deserve thanks for a) responding to the community concerns and b) for being willing to be flexible on issues that caused you to draft the first EULA.
As Ironbear said "Not bad. Nice job to everyone involved."
That is strong praise indeed given his sincere expressions of concern in the past.
And to Larry Weinberg THANK YOU for stepping into the breech and doing it!
Despite the fact that this thread is not attracting many responses (yet!) I think you have gone a considerable way to mending fences with the community. It will be complete when you get collision detection working with the hair room! IMHO ;0)
