Where do I install him???? What directory? thanks

Your installation program from Daz should simply find your poser directory and ask you for confirmation as to the path of that directory. It takes it from there.

if your installer is not working correctly, you might want to ask DAZ about it, or read their technical FAQ

What you want to do is point the intsall .exe to your desktop, and then chase after it with Windows Explorer once it's finished. With Windows Eplorer's tree view you click open the crosses the leads to the different levels of installation. There then you have the oppurtunity to rename many folders(Not any:Geometries though...or Texture archives either, unless you'll be willing to fish for them, at a very convenient location, later.) I renamed mostly all of my DAZR-SityRuntimeDNS3DCommune Installs this way. There are so many Michael 2 directories I've learned to keep things simple by just using M2. Then adding to that for things like M2 Caracter Pak 1, M2 Clothing Pak 1, etc. Once you've renamed the Characters and Poses directories(Anyhows) drag that new Runtime folder over on top of your Poser 4 folder. It will ask you if you want to overwrite, say yes and everything willfall into place into places that will be familiar to you when you open Poser!

Just double click on the .exe file and follow the instructions. It'll self-install. DAZ has made it easy for us that way. Melanie

Re: Where does michael 2.0 go? It's ahrd to tell where he does go. Usually whenever I have some chores for him he either shows up in such poor shape that he can't get it done or he doesn't show up at all. I'm starting to think he has a hideout somewhere in back of all those wires.

First he goes to the gym, then he goes to the A-House.

Uh, that you are asking this question suggests that you have downloaded an illegal copy from somewhere. Go to DAZ, pay your money, and welcome to the community ;)

That insinuation is rude unto itself! I have MANY Origional Daz3d files I've had to go chasing after with search after search, to try to figure out where the archives were installed, beacuae the naming of the libraries is so poorly matched with the title of the product! Renaming is almost always a neccessity. = )
