I am looking at buying an Epson 2450 flatbed, to scan 35mm slides and 120 slides; I have a limited budget of 300, is the abovev any good

I personally like it. Its not quite as good as a dedicated high res film scanner but it does alright. Had some trouble installing the drivers but after I downloaded the update it ran just fine. I like it. Its received decent reviews which is why I got it. Scanned pics and 35 mil negs but not any slides yet. It took forever to come in once I ordered it. Check on stock before you lay cash out.

Its a great scanner but agree about a dedicated film scanner would be much better, as you only indicate you want it to do 35 and 120 slides. If not and want it to do other jobs then its a good choice.
