As I am waiting for Firefly to render I have enough time to sort some old software. Look at how far we've come in just 3 versions.

Me remember painting Mammoths on cave walls with a pointy stick. Ugg!

wtsmith, How about "Humanoid"? Just loaded it on to my old PII-300 w/128 Mb RAM and let me tell you that the render times are next to nothing... but so is the quality of the output. I know I thought it was great when I first got it. What happened?

Whooops... just got struck by lightning... and was reminded that it took The Boss 7 days to render everything... (and he still couldn't get the seams right)

Poser 2 to Poser 5 is definitely Evolution Theory. I wonder if the dinosaur were a result of a beta software.

I was soooo excited over my very first render... a Poser 2 skeleton! Three poses later I realized that P2 would never do what I had hoped it would... Enter P4!! g To think, I wanted to design my own web pages and my stories, LOL, and got hung-up on this gallery instead!

ye gods little dragon, that brings back some memories. I have a copy of that floating around somewhere, unless it got used for a coffee mat or part of a wind scarer. It put me off for a while, didn't come back till poser 3.

hey, don't knock it, the Silver Surfer in my gallery was a poser1 figure, textured and rendered in truespace1 !!

I have a copy of Poser1(fractal design pc version) too. When I first saw it I thought what a great idea it was & how useful it could be then I tried it. Poser4 was a vast improvement, I missed 2&3 totally. Now I have Poser5 :)

I got poser 1 for poseing and arranging characters to draw freehand- thats what it was for at first. Rendering was Then it moved into a full fleged stand alone 3d appication. And it dragged me along with it into the world of computer graphics. Wow things and changed! Now I do my preps by hand for my computer models!
