I've mentioned memory manages once or twice at this forum and many people sounded interested in the posibilities of those sort of programs. Here's some good ones: Maxmem from AnalogX Cacheman These programs optimize your RAM-usage or fake ram on the harddisk. No more filesize limits in bryce due to lack of RAM. For example: I was able to save a scenefile of 536 MB while I only had 256 MB of RAM.

thanks... sounds like something I could use

downloaded and installed maxmem... opened up that 130 meg file for my last image that I couldn't save anymore after adding a couple of trees... added 10 trees and a 4096 res. terrain, just as a test... and it saved with no problems. Thanks again, Rayraz.

I don't have it on this computer (at work, not at home). All I did was go to google.com and did a search for "maxmem". First site that popped up was the one I used.

This appears to be the site - listed below. The concern I have is that it appears to be for W9X.
Anyone with XP tried it?

I've got it running on XP right now
