After carefully making a 3d model in lightwave for conversion to Poser, Exporting it to OBJ, UV Mapping it in UV Mapper, and importing it into Poser, I got a very nice object. When I converted the PHI file, I got something else. Can somebody tell me what is going on here?

The "nice" landshark is the object brought into Poser using the import Wavefront OBJ function. The "ugly" landshark is the same exact OBJ file, imported via a PHI.

What's with the texture? I converted the ugly one to all white, with no texture maps at all, and it's still "dirty." I even applied some textures and got the same black tarry texture over my image maps.

HELP!

The black could be shadows. In the original model, check for reversed normals. In any surface polygon, its corners should be listed in anticlockwise order as seen from outside.

I've no idea what's causing that, but I did want to say great landshark...
