Very thought provocking. A little large for downloading. On my DSL line it was 3 minutes to download, with no indication as to how much more. Flash has a way to test how much has been downlaoded, and you can use that to drive a graphic indicating how much longer. I would imagine a 56K user wouldn't wait for the whole thing. Maybe experimenting with the audio quality to see where a compromise point is to shrink the file. Also, a front-end page to allow people a choice between a better quality version, and a quicker download version could be an option. With my system, a P4 1.8Ghz 512RAM with aDSL and a gateway/router, the images finished about 1 minute before the audio. I know that the streaming option can make sure the images and audio finish together, I also know that you can end up with stuttering problems if you use it. Maybe cut up the audio into smaller chunks, and then lay them back to back. The player will play them smoothly through, while you can then trigger the images at each audio start, guarenteeing that they stay in sync. I would also consider a credits page at the end. Maybe some links for people to more info for thought and discussion. Do you know of any sites that this theme would be a good gateway for? Or, is that what your putting togther yourself? I was waiting for somewhere to go to continue the theme. All around, an excellant example of what can be done for the future of mankind, instead of another marketing fluff piece. Well done.

Thanks for the comment Bluetone....On mine the audio finishes about a minute before the frames do...when I inserted the mp3 audio in it the layer it is on goes way past where the music actually plays so i was wondering about that... when you play it in flash so i can watch it as it plays.... i saw where the music actually ended but am a little confused now if you say the music went on After the pics stopped...hum...Guess I will try to see it on some other systems...I hear ya about the preloader giving a time to finish and keeping file size down...at the end I just kinda of wanted to leave it hanging like that for effect...leaving the person wanting more hopefully :)Didnt realize I could make different Quality ones....have to pay more attention there...when I was sizing the jpeg images down i should have made 2, one optimized and one at full pixel quality for a choice...thks for the input.

you don't have to change the graphics, but instead change the quality of the graphics in the output settings. You can also do the same to the mp3s there as well. Doing both will decrease your file size, and increase your bandwidth for playback. Different systems definatly will react to flash files differently. I try them on 2 different Win boxs, with diferent OS's as well, and on a couple Mac's before 'going live.' As for the audio being stretched, did you have your timeline already laid out? If so, when you add another layer to the timeline, it will stretch to the length of the longest layer in the timeline. So it would be longer then the audio. I believe it also incorrectly reads the time from mp3's and as such may drop it in longer then it should be. Something to do with the mp3 compression setings in the master output settings. If your file is a different streaming rate, it won't corralate to trhe file length. (Personaly, I think that there are a number of funky things about flash. But don't tell my computer, it's being good to me... at the moment! :>) As for wanting more, I was. It worked. Can't wait to see the next version! Good luck!
