Subject: Problems with vertices...(please help before i kill myself)

I'm new to Carrara so perhaps I'm just really missing something, but his has been driving me nuts: I imported part of a Poser figure into Carrara and I am trying to edit it in the editor room thingy. When I have multiple views in one window I can't seem to move or even select verticies in some of the views...this is very VERY frustrating because I never seem to know when something is going to stop working. To make it worse sometimes it will only let me select filled polygons, and sometimes only edges or it won't let me select anything at all, I am at a total loss for what to do about this.... PLEASE HELP ME!!! thank you, thank you...

I too have had this problem but I don't know of any work-arounds. The problem is however not consistent on my machine and generally I run Lightwave and Carrara at the same time but having a dual processor system, I set the affinity to run each on separate processors until I begin rendering which I will go ahead and affinate both processors to software that I am rendering my end product on. With this in mind, having run Carrara alone and with other programs running in the background such as Poser and Lightwave, I have come to the conclusion that it is something more or other than a system error and more of a software bug based on certain system configurations, however that is my personal educated guess.

Yeah, I have the same problem. Poser will do it on a regular desktop.
