Strange memory address. Tried swapping memory chips around? Or clicking on Cancel and finding the log?

Ew, just noticed. Do you get the message with Yahoo and AIM and Opera and IE turned off?

Yeah I'd try running without all that stuff running with Bryce. Some programs are hogs and Bryce doesn't play nice with them :)

I have 640 MBS of DDR SDRAM, running XP home :(, so memory isn't an issue. When I test the computer I only have the required operations on and still get this error. I have one from MAYA if you want to see that one too. Could be that Explorer causes it. Also I had to Cold-boot the computer that day. Windows crashed and burned. (I'm switching to a MAC) :)

N.B. FERTE AUXILIUM means "I need help" or "I need back-up" in Latin. I tend say random things in Latin to my computer when it crashes. :)

Trust me, the amount of RAM is not really connected to memory problems in Windows. :-) Have you tried removing memory chips one by one and seeing whether one of them is faulty?

Shuffles over with the walker In olden days that would be a UAE error. App is trying to read memory its not supposed to. Could be Bryce's fault. Probably have to make small changes and save with a version number. What are you doing to cause this crash? Can you duplicate it? What version of Bryce do you have?
Acuos posted Tue, 03 December 2002 at 3:36 PM
Sometimes Bryce will crash when I open the program, or it will be in the middle of a project: ie. just moving some objects around. I have Bryce 5. And I can duplicate it. Not always though. I did a disk check on my hard-drive in case that was it. It wasn't the problem. Now for a Ram check.

Might want to get the 5.01 patch from Corel.

This error also happens in MAYA, I think it is just a bad sector of memory. Thanks for all the help! :)

Could be one of those registry keys or dll thingy's is corrupt. But usually the error will tell you that when it happens. Dunno... Did you try removing and reinstalling yet?
