I like, if you need a tester call.

This is a lovely design Dmitri! I especiallylike the idea of the knitted cap being able to fit several haircuts. That's a great idea. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Ok this girl is back hehehe :D. But this time I'm armed with the actual model, it's not conformating as yet, but it will be soon. ~Me hope it conforms like a glove!!!~.

_Dmitri_ posted Mon, 02 December 2002 at 3:16 AM

Ok here's a back view ohhh how i love the back. ;) It's an high res model and it shouldn't go word chunk word chunk on slower computer systems, but they should have at least P2 333 and 128 megs of ram or better. :) i don't know how it may react on slower systems... :D PS please let me know what you think so far. thanks DM

guarie posted Mon, 02 December 2002 at 3:35 AM

Looking sweet Dmitri. I like the back as well! If you're worried about how it's going to run on different systems maybe you should look at getting some people to test it for you when you're getting close to finishing it. You can't be expected to know how it's going to run on everyone's machine, but a cross section of 3 or 4 people would give you a better idea. Good work mate! Guarie

_Dmitri_ posted Mon, 02 December 2002 at 5:30 AM

Hi sweety, some great news it conforms like a glove!! :D. Umm i wonder if i can get my nickname changed here :~(. Everyone thinks i'm a boy LOL! just so you know hone i'm a girl using my bf's account :D. he doesn't want to use it anymore. I'll have to ask clintH if somehow he can change my nick on here. :S btw my name is Jo-jo :D

guarie posted Mon, 02 December 2002 at 5:40 AM

LOL! Oh well - the Dmitri was definately misleading - I thought you were a boy! LOL! Hi there Jo-jo! And yes - Guarie is a boy. Though most people assume I'm a girl... don't know why.

_Dmitri_ posted Mon, 02 December 2002 at 7:21 AM

This is my first conforming figure... :D here's a back view

_Dmitri_ posted Mon, 02 December 2002 at 7:25 AM

oh it can be used with victoira, steph, aiko. :D

Giana posted Mon, 02 December 2002 at 9:19 AM

AND Aiko???? EEEEEeeeeeeeee... ^BIG BOUNCE^ the back has a really nice simple design to it which strikes me with definite realism... i oft find the simplier the clothing, the more elegant it is... it enhances that who wears it rather than be a primary focal point so that a person sees the whole rather than just the outfit... if this makes sense [?] please keep posting your progress images... i'm extremely curious as your designs have most assuredly caught my attention!!! :))

lalverson posted Mon, 02 December 2002 at 9:25 AM

A very solid model so far, I like it's style. I know a few of the models I work with would love this added to the wardrobe

LadyJaiven posted Mon, 02 December 2002 at 11:12 AM

ElorOnceDark posted Mon, 02 December 2002 at 11:15 AM

_Dmitri_ posted Mon, 02 December 2002 at 11:25 AM

Hi everyone, Thanks for all the comments! :D, I'm starting to model the skirt as we speak heh. :D I wanted my designs to have a sense of realism, plus there's not much out there that really fits aiko, I like using aiko more then most other models :). I'll soon be posting the process of the skirt :). ~me 3D models like mad hatter girl!!!!~~ ;) "Wink"~

_Dmitri_ posted Tue, 03 December 2002 at 2:58 AM

ok I am back but armed with a picture of the Solaris Skirt out the belt. The belt in itself is a conformaing figure just incase you did wanted to use it with a different outfit :D. Please let me know what you think so far. thanks. ps, i haven't made it conform yet but working on that now. jo jo

Giana posted Tue, 03 December 2002 at 8:34 AM

the skirt looks great... i like the low placement upon the hip a lot... in looking at your drawing vs. the skirt you've made here, they seem to be a little different from each other. now keep in mind i am modeling stupid, but i think your drawing has a little more "style" to it than the skirt model itself. in the drawing the sides are more open and not connected except by strings/thongs/ties which seems to balance better with the nice simple strings that your top has. as i said i have nary a clue as to how easy or difficult it is to model such things, and i am honestly just trying to give you constructive feedback and not criticism - far from my intent... it is just that you held true to the top's design, and i think that in part what has captured people's imaginations is your sketched out idea... at least that is what it is for me since i can only truly speak for myself... and with the skill you've shown in modeling the top, i've every faith that you could do the skirt as you sketched it above if that is the direction you decided to choose to go... :))

_Dmitri_ posted Tue, 03 December 2002 at 10:53 AM

hi gana, it's not total finished, I may sometime stray a bit from the design... I know i'm baddd girl! :D But a little problem with the skirt though making it conform correctly. :S

lalverson posted Wed, 04 December 2002 at 9:20 AM

Your doing great! drive on!

IceStorm posted Wed, 04 December 2002 at 9:26 AM

I think Giana is right. I loved the sketch of the skirt. If you could stick true to that it would be great. The top is fabulous so far.

_Dmitri_ posted Wed, 04 December 2002 at 12:15 PM

ice storm, hi honey actually i'm remodeling the skirt altogether. But i will be releasing the Solaris X Top in the market place in a day or two... :D. The textures that will be comming with it are hi-res 2000x2000 50 colors/styles type fabrics. Mix and match Straps & the main part of the top to further customize this little top for aiko, steph, and vicky! :D

IceStorm posted Wed, 04 December 2002 at 2:03 PM

Wow! You've been doing alot! Sounds great. Can't wait to see it. :)

_Dmitri_ posted Wed, 04 December 2002 at 2:50 PM

hi ice, i'v been working non stop, uhmm here's a hint i'm having wayyyy too much Fun with it LOL! sadly i'm only allowed 25 megs i'll have to do a texture expansion pack ~wiggles eyebrows~ the textures is 2000x200 512 k. I didn't want to uhmm degrate the texture to save space :S. I know there's a program out there called brite.exe, that's really good for bitmaps acting as 32 bit textures but windows sees it as 16 bit textures hehe. :D, i used it when i was creating theif the metal age fan missions.

Giana posted Thu, 05 December 2002 at 8:14 PM

wow! well, you're certainly making extremely great efforts for your first conforming figure attempts and package, Jo-jo... thanks for the update... don't forget to sleep occasionally, ok?? hehe ;) ~wiggles eyebrows back at Jo-jo~

_Dmitri_ posted Fri, 06 December 2002 at 4:08 AM

teeehee :D no worries, i work at home so it gives me a bit more time to do 3D goodies. The last thing i need to do is create rsr files to replace the png files for non poser pro pack users. :D. When i was creating textures i went a bit overboard, i was having too much fun when i realized i made 42 textures for this top. :)
