Ok, I've tried to put my project on a CD, so that my teach could see my project on school. But, when I try to open it in school it gives a "Generic Failure" error or "File not found" error every time :(. Please, help this guy again ;)

What OS? Have you burned CDs successfully in the past?

Uhm, well I know my CD-Burner runs fine, I'm burning Easy CD Creator 5.0 on Windows XP Pro, but I've been running it on a slow comp. (windows 98 or something 450mhz) so that could be the prob. Yet I also got it once when I tested my CD at home (it worked fine 2nd time though and at school I tried 10x)

I've been having a problem with EZ CD creator 5 on a dell running Windows XP. XP tries to decide what I want to do for me. When I pop in a CD it recognises a blank and supposedly opens CD creator for me. If the machine has been running more than 2 or 3 days CD creator never opens. I rebot the machine and the opening splash window for creator comes up just before everything shuts down. I pop in a CD after bootup and creator opens and burns just fine. The longer I run and the more applications I open the less likely it is that creator will open and work. I suspect the CD player function on the drive is fighting with Windows Media player or some such thing. I don't know why, but if I reboot and burn the file first thing I'm sucessful.

Ive had Easy CD Creator, but bought Nero instead! Much better! The only errors ive experienced is because of bad CDs, but thats about it! Try downloading the demo and try it out! It works well with XP!Rudolf Herczog

Nero came with Sound Blaster Live! I had it on my last computer really liked it.

Have you burned it as .br5 or .tif or .jpg or what? Can your school computer recognise the format? Then, how do you open it? autorun.inf, double clicking on the file itself or you open it in an image-viewing program? If first, is the path correct? Have you put in a drive letter that your school computer doesn't have? If second, have you tried (shift-)right-clicking and opening it in a program different from the default one? If the last, is it possible that it's an older version which doesn't exactly recognise the format of the pic?

Running Win XP just insert the blank recordable CD into the drive; drag and drop the files to the CD drive window and click "write these files to disk" which should be on the same window on the top left hand corner.

Another suggestion: make sure you are grabbing the .bmp version of the file, that way it will open in any paint program that might be on your school computer. Also, I have Nero as well and have had no problems with it on XP Home Version (just for the record-I like XP alot and have no problems with it at all). But, if you can't get Nero, the XP built-in burning capabilities should work fine. Just do as suggested and "drop and drag" the .bmp file onto the cd drive and it should work. Good luck.
